DESCRIPTION:
Ansonia Clock Co., New York, C.1894 "SENATOR", antique oak cased mantle clock with brass trimmings. Features full figured female columns on either side of the dial with other large and impressive brass plated bits. 8-day, time and gong striking.
CONDITION:
this is an clean clock in generally good original condition. There is some loss to finish on the female caryatids, and the brass bits need polishing. Case has been cleaned with Kotton Klenser, but has never been stripped and has a nice finely crazed finish. Ht 22"
